Great News!

Oh my gosh! I have such great news to share!

Ill start my story from the beginning.

In art class a month ago, my art teacher asked if anyone would like enter our artwork in a contest for the University.

I told him no thanks, and when class was over I went my separate way. The next day at school I saw flyer's every where for the art exhibition. Something was just telling me to enter some of my pieces. I talked to my love about maybe entering 2 works of mine, and asked if he would help me decide. 

So later that night at home, I laid out my art and my family and my love picked the best 2.

The next session of my art class, I asked my teacher if I could get an entry form to enter. He had a smile on his face and said "Changed your mind huh?"

I just smiled

Well I entered 2 pieces. It was a waiting game from there.

On Tuesday I finally heard from the gallery. 

Unfortunately, I didn't make it in the Large Gallery

but... I made it to the Student Gallery. Which is way better because thousands of students walk through that gallery! I am so excited that both of my pieces made it!

They will be hung April 17th. When they are up I will make sure to share pictures with you.

Weekend Wrap Up (late addition)

As you all know I mostly do my weekend wrap up on Mondays... but I was very ill with food poisoning. Then my throat started acting up... I went to the doctor today and I have Strep Throat >.<. I am now on Motrin and Antibiotics. So hopefully in the next week I will be all healthy and feeling brand spankin' new.

So its not the clearest picture, but I put a light yellow shadow in the corner of my eye, in the middle I put orange and on the edge I put on some red. Then lightly blended all three into each other.

Hunger Games Spirit Week

Okay, so as most of you realize this Friday Hunger Games comes out, and me and my sister are super stoked so... we are bringing our nerd out, by having a Hunger Games Spirit Week, so here is what we have planned.

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was so fun and relaxing, yet eventful. 

Friday, I accompanied my sister on a date. We bought a bunch of Hunger Game memorabilia.

Saturday, We spent St. Patty's Day with my Grandmother. Went Estate sailing. Had lunch at The Good Egg. And, my older brother came home from his Spring Break trip

Sunday, There was a bike ride down town, unfortunately the weather changed drastically and it was rained out. So I spent the day relaxing. Me and my mom watched old Sherlock Homes movies enjoying some hot cocoa.

Antic store, someone got rid of at LEAST 100+ dolls

At the Antic store, I bought some Holly Hobbie dolls. When my mom was little she absolutely loved Holly Hobbie. So I bought two :)

So I was messing around with pin curls, and it came out to an Afro. So I styled it as a Fo-Hawk.

 My sad bike, had to stay in the garage due to the weather.

This and That

Hello bloggets :)
So today is Thursday almost Friday, can't wait! This week was Spring Break and most college kids would go on some fancy trip to Florida, or Las Vegas. But unfortunately some college students have to work :(. I think maybe one day I would love to go on a Spring Break adventure, but not the normal or predictable party places. I think I would love to go back packing in Europe, or hiking a volcano in Hawaii, or even a childhood trip to Disneyland.

Maybe when the economy gets better me and my love can go travel till our hearts content.

Well I hope all of you are having a fun and eventful Spring Break

Zebra Print Nails

So lately I have been experimenting with different nail polish combinations, I hope you like this one, if you like it let me know and I will do more for you :)

     Step 1- paint bottom of nails with white, only go as far as to where the red will meet the white

Step 2: Take you detailed polish and make a zebra pattern

 Step 3 Take whole punch reinforcements and place where you want the red to meet with the white and paint on a coat of Red, REMOVE reinforcement before the red polish dries. You can put a second coat of red on if you would like.

And TADA! I loved it, it popped
